We are loosely organised by me, Nick Devonport. I do my best but keeping a road run together is a bit like herding cats! I can be contacted on 07833 623630, by post at 28 Bridgeside, Deal, Kent, CT14 9SS or by email email@example.com.

We support local events run by the Dover Transport Museum at Willingdon Road, Whitfield. This fascinating attraction has many exhibits of interest to the moped enthusiast, including a collection of small bikes, many of which will evoke memories for us. Dover has a reputation of being a town that you visit either because you’re going somewhere else or because you’ve been somewhere else but this museum is well worth seeking out. Check their website for details of opening times and admission charges. Our next event is the Summer Camp weekend on July 23-26. Road runs on the Saturday and Sunday and possibly lunch stops if I can find a venue which will accept a large group. The camp site, Lillyroo’s at Sholden near Deal, is delightfully basic but it has a bar and a small snack shack. There are no electric hook-ups and the showers may not be open so you’ll have to rough it unless you’re bringing a camper or caravan. Contact me (see above) for booking details. Over the weekend of September 25/26, we have our end of season gathering at Headcorn Aerodrome, see the Events calendar for the location. The aerodrome has been used as an NHS vaccination centre this year and we may have to adjust to the management’s new way of operating the site, including the introduction of car parking fees. I’m assured that the Wings Bar will be open for food and drink. As regulars will be aware, this is another basic camping site but we cope! Please contact me to let me know if you’re coming.
Our calendar for 2021 is:
Nick’s Summer Camp- July 23/26 at Lillyroo’s campsite near Deal CT14 0AT, Kent, contact Nick for booking on 07833 623630 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Headcorn Aerodrome Run – September 25/26 Our season closer at Headcorn Aerodrome, Shenley Road, Headcorn, Kent, TN27 9HX. Oh, and we’ve got a couple of road runs, too. Saturday after lunch and Sunday 10.00 for 11.00 start.
Several of us also meet up with the East Kent Classic Motorcycle Club on a Wednesday evening for a coffee and a burger (not a word to Is please!) at the East Kent Railway. The venue alternates between the Shepherdwell and Eythorne sites so contact me for the location. Time: 1800 – 2000ish. Come and say hello!
