]]> The Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum houses a huge collection of motorcycles of all descriptions, including some that will be of interest to NACC members. Nick Devonport spent a fascinating day there earlier this year. There’s something for the racing enthusiast and touring people, from the dawn of motorcycling to more modern machines. You might catch a glimpse of the great man himself as he’s still restoring bikes and is often found in the workshop. Show your valid NACC membership card and you’ll get 10% off your entrance fee!

]]> AT The British Commercial Vehicle Museum, Leyland. (Exit M6, JCT 28)

We all look forward to meeting you once again ! We anticipate this show to be even busier and brighter than last year’s event. Machines will be arriving from around 9.00 a.m.,  the show opens at 10.00 a.m. with  VMCC members , Classic Motorcycle Club members, and individual owners all taking part.   A 1950s film covering club sports events and TT racing will be shown in the museum’s cinema.

No Entry Fee to participate in this show !

And, whilst your here . . . . Inside the museum we have two new exhibits with interesting stories to tell. ]]> The only notable change in the DVLA’s V765/3 guidance notes which dictate how all clubs should operate, is that “authorised clubs should inspect to MUST inspect.” It continues to be acceptable to delegate the inspection to “an appropriately knowledgeable person” Therefore from today’s date Phill will be unable to provide a dating certificate or complete the V765 process without a machine examination report. Obviously members cannot carry out their own examination, but “appropriately knowledgeable” is a very loose term and most people who have an interest in our types of vehicles are thus qualified.
